The World's First LEED Platinum Highrise Condominiums

The Casey is the world's first LEED Platinum highrise condominium. This 143,000 square foot building in Portland, Oregon features a broad range of sustainability-focused features while setting a new standard for luxury urban living. The 16 story housing tower with ground floor retail space uses cutting-edge strategies like heat-recovery ventilation, photovoltaic solar panels, and an eco-roof to create benefits like 52% energy savings and 32% water savings annually.

Construction materials were conserved, reused and conscientiously selected: local and recycled materials are used throughout and over 95% of construction waste was diverted from landfills. Residents experience top notch thermal comfort and indoor air quality with The Casey’s extensive use of daylighting, natural ventilation and finishes, paint and carpeting that eliminate occupant exposure to toxic chemicals found in conventional buildings.
