Brewery Block 2: Cellar House Office Tower

Part of the 5-city block Brewery Blocks urban redevelopment, The Cellar Building sits on the site of the old Blitz Weinhard brewery in Northwest Portland's Pearl District. Brightworks took on management of the LEED programs for Block 1 (Whole Foods), Block 2, and Block 4 (M Financial) midway through the development process.

The Brewery Blocks as complete development feature a district chilled water system, innovative demand-based ventilation and induction lighting in the parking garage, low-VOC finishes and high recycled materials content. The Block 2 project carefully incorporated salvaged building shells, two of which are registered historical buildings, and won the Oregon State Historic Preservation Adaptive Reuse Award in 2000.
